Challenging Borders: Centering Undocumented Student Voices in Higher Education
October 22-23, 2015
CBS 114 / INTS 1113
The “Challenging Borders” symposium will bring together academics, students, and community members to critically discuss current and emerging research about undocumented students in higher education. It will generate discourse about the varied experiences of undocumented students in four-year colleges and universities, the impact of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and ever-evolving student activism. Perhaps most importantly, this symposium aims to create a space where academics and community members can engage in conversations that enable them to better serve undocumented students in the Inland Empire and beyond.
