Global 19th Century Graduate Fellows

The Global 19th Century Working Group at the Center for Ideas and Society invites applications for Graduate Student Fellows in 2022-23. The Fellowship consists of participation in Zoom workshop events throughout the year, in which the fellow, and local and invited faculty, will share research on topics related to the global 19th century. The Graduate Fellows will share their work as part of a roundtable discussion with faculty once during the year and will participate fully in all the events.

For their participation, the Fellow will receive a $425 stipend. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program at UCR and should determine that receipt of the stipend will not negatively impact their current funding.

Application deadline: Monday, August 1, 2022 (11:59 pm)

To apply, please submit a c.v. and a brief (200 word) abstract describing the global 19th century research topic that will be presented. You will also be asked to confirm that you can present your research at a roundtable in Fall, Winter or Spring 2022.
