FOCUSED RESEARCH GROUPS

Call For Focused Research Groups
2008-09 Academic Year

We invite proposals for Focused Research Groups (FRGs). A FRG is a group of faculty that meets during an academic year to explore a collaborative research topic. The meetings usually take the form of workshops, which may be led by a guest speaker.

Who May Apply
Any UCR faculty member may submit a research group proposal.

Funding Criteria
Projects must be multidisciplinary in orientation and are encouraged to cross humanities disciplinary boundaries by embracing the arts, social sciences, physical sciences, engineering, and other applicable fields of study. For each application, the Committee will initially approve only a single year of funding, although multi-year proposals are welcome.
