Lyceum Lectures

The Lyceum Lecture provides an opportunity for the members of the Inland Empire community to hear from a prominent member of the UCR faculty. Beginning in the 2010-11 academic year, the Center will offer three Lyceum lectures, one per quarter.

The lecturer for the 2009-10 academic year is Jonathan L. Walton, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies. Professor Walton is the author of Watch This: The Ethics and Aesthetics of Black Televangelism. He is also a contributing editor to Religion Dispatches, a daily online magazine and a speaker on the Tavis Smiley Radio Show with his regular segment, "What should I do? Who should I be?"
