Facilities and Rooms for Events
In December 2013, the Center relocated to College Building South (CBS) on the UC Riverside campus. The historic structure, built in the early 1900, was originally home to the Director of the Citrus Station. Over the years, the building has housed the CHASS Dean’s office and various campus research centers.
Nestled among trees at the outer edge of campus, the Center’s facilities offer a retreat-like setting for researchers and campus events. The Director’s Garden, complete with shaded benches and a lily pond, provides a welcome break or an ideal venue for outdoor events.
The Center provides event management and administrative support for campus events, including lectures, conferences, research and writing groups, and departmental retreats. The conference room at CBS seats up to 35 and the meeting room holds 15. Offices for visiting scholars, resident faculty and workgroups are available quarterly by request.
